    Summer Band Information for 6th-8th grade students wishing to attend music camps at  Fontainebleau and Lakeshore High Schools can be found in the links below.  Please direct all questions to the directors of these fabulous programs.

    Congratulations on a fantastic Spring Concert.  I am so proud of the performances of each group!! I can't wait to see your continued growth as a musician next school year!!!

    Don't forget school owned instruments must be cleaned and all repair work done by May 21, 2019.

    Mandatory Practices & Performances are on the calendar.  Please make sure your child is in attendance for each rehearsal or performance listed on the calendar.


    On Wednesday March 20, we are hosting the St. Tammany Parish Public Schools Large Ensemble Band Festival.  I will need a few parents to help bring groups to and from the warm-up room, run the sign in table, and help move chairs and stands for each group's performance.  This festival will begin around 9 am and will finish around 2:45 pm.  Please email me back and let me know what hours you can help out. All participating students must wear their black band uniform to school that day.  This includes SOLID black shoes.

      Wednesday, March 27, 2019 is the LMEA 2019 District Band Festival at Fontainebleau High School.  I will need help transporting large instruments to the school and chaperones to help keep the kids on task.  If you are able to help on those dates I will need someone from 8:30 AM until 10:45 AM for the 7th Grade Intermediate Band Group and will need someone from 1:00 pm until 3:30 for the 8th grade Advanced Band Group.   Intermediate Band Students (3rd, 5th, and 6th hour classes) will need to report to campus by 8:15 AM on Wednesday.  All band students participating at this event will wear their black band uniform to school for this event.  This includes SOLID black shoes.  If you are able to help with this event, please email me back asap.  I will need someone with a large vehicle to help transport tubas, percussion equipment, etc.  Students will carry smaller instruments over. 

     Night of Wednesday, March 27th is our annual Hurricane Highlights performances.  This is a school wide and graded event where ALL band students must participate.  Students will report to the band room at various times depending on the performance time of their groups. Check the website for exact times later this week.  For this graded performance, I will need parent help in monitoring the band room.  We will have shifts starting at 6:15 pm and will run in 30 minutes increments until the end of the festivities.  If you would like to help with this, please email me back as soon as possible.
