The mission of the photography club is to promote interest and improve skills in all phases of still photography.
Club dues are $20. Dues must be paid before students will be permitted to attend the monthly meetings. T-Shirts will also be available for purchase for $10 during the school year.
The photography club also has a working darkroom. In paying their dues, students receive two rolls of 35mm black and white film, and periodic access to the darkroom with its equipment and chemicals. We can only develop black and white film on campus. Students are welcome to shoot color film, however, they will need to have it processed off-site.
Students should idealy have a stand-alone camera that has manual setting controls, however, students may participate with any camera, including one on their phone. Cell phones are not allowed to be used on campus during the school day.
The club will meet monthly this year (2019). Each meeting will be run on the second Wednesday of the month as a seminar on a photography topic. Meetings will be held in room 913 at 2:45 p.m. Members should come ready to listen and learn about the following topics.
