• Hello Spartans!!

I am pleased to be with you this year!

I have taught Speech and English in the New Orleans area for 5 years and for the past two years, have substituded in St. Tammany Parish.  I attended University of Louisiana - Lafayette where I earned a BA in Secondary Education (Speech/English). I was very active in the Theater Department and was chosen to represent ULL at the World University Theater Festival in Nancy, France.  I was also a ULL Debater and gained membership into Pi Kappa Delta Forensic Fraternity as well as Alpha Psi Omega Drama Fraternity.

When I finished ULL, I auditioned and was hired as an Equity Union member of the New Orleans Repertory Theater under the direction of Actress and Producer, June Havoc. As a member of the company, I worked with great actors and directors. I decided not, however, to move to New York to continue my acting career but rather to work in the Oil and Gas Business starting in New Orleans with Shell Oil.  Thereafter, I moved to Houston and continued to learn as much as I could about the Energy Business.  I was fortunate to be at the right place at the right time and I started my own energy consulting firm in the 1990's: OMINgas, Inc. While working I traveled internationally and developed natural gas pipelines and processing plants for clients.  Happily, I spoke at many conferences and before many government agencies.

I moved back to New Orleans to care for my Mother and in 2005 Katrina brought us to the Northshore.  That's when I said to everyone..."I'm to teach again......and here I am!"

I want to teach Literaure and Writing and make it a happy-time for all my students!  I will help you find that happiness, if you give me the chance.....

    Ms. Lynch
