•     Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year at Lancaster! My name is Lea Ann Dufrene, and I am the third and fourth grade special education co-teacher. This will be my third year at Lancaster, but the 16th year in my teaching career. I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. I continued my education earning a license in Special Education and my master's degree in Gifted Education from William Carey University.

My teaching philosophy is that all children can learn. It is my goal to get to know each child and his or her interests and learning styles. I will use this information to incorporate successful interventions and differentiation strategies. I will also ensure that your child has a learning environment where he or she feels safe and secure.

Please feel free to contact me by email or phone about any concerns that you may have. You can contact me at the school at (985) 792-0156 or at I will be sure to respond within 24 hours of your message. I am looking forward to an exciting school year with you and your child!
