  • Come Kick it in Kindergarten

Welcome Kindergarteners and proud parents! My name is Miss Jowers. I am 24 years old. This is only my second year of teaching, but that just means I have fresh eyes and a hopeful attitude!

I am an Army Brat. During my childhood I spent a lot of time packing and moving around, but when anybody asks I just say that I grew up in Slidell, Louisiana. I stayed here longer than anywhere else. Over the years, I attended five different schools and graduated from a local high school.

For my bachelor’s I attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and received my degree in Early Childhood Education in May of 2016. By June 2016 I enrolled myself in the Curriculum and Instruction Master’s Program. I graduated in December of 2017. I started my doctoral program June of this year. It will be a couple of years before I finish. Last year, I started teaching in Kindergarten, but finished the remainder of the year in Second Grade. My more recent teaching experience has been working at Sylvan Learning Center as a tutor. So, I am well versed on helping learners of many different ability levels and learning styles. I am positive that this year will be a success!

If you have any comments, questions or concerns please feel free to contact me! I will do my best to reply at as soon as possible.
