  • Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Welcome to 6th Grade at Pine View Middle School!

I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is Shantell Coulon and I am your son or daughter’s Math/Science teacher this year. This is my first year teaching at Pine View Middle School and my sixth year teaching.

I have very high expectations and standards that I will clearly express to each student, and I am absolutely committed to providing my students with the best education possible.  I also believe that communication with parents is crucial to a successful year, and that honest communication can help combat issues before they develop. Know that I am here with an open mind and a willingness to listen to any concerns that might arise through out the year. If you don’t understand a grade that was given, or an expectation stated, call or email me, I’d be happy to speak with you.

My goal as an educator is engage students in learning, inspire them to have a desire to become a life long learner, and watch them transform in to productive citizens in society.

Should you have any questions or need to communicate with me at any time, please feel free to contact me by calling the school office at (985) 892-6204. Additionally, you can always access information regarding my class activities, homework, project/test calendar and other items by visiting my teacher website shantell.coulon@stpsb.org.

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. Shantell Coulon
