Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! I am so excited to be a part of your child’s educational experience this year at Monteleone Junior High School. It is going to be a great year full of fun, learning and lots of adventure. I cannot wait to see what the year has in store for us. I thought you might want to know a little about me.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Hosea. We have a son, Beauxdy, who is in going into the fifth grade and a daughter, Tannah, who is going into the second grade. They consume most of my free time, but some hobbies that I enjoy are cooking, reading, playing sports and raising my chickens.

I have lived in Loranger, Louisiana most of my life. I went to Loranger High School and graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in May 2006. I have a large family with three brothers and two sisters. I come from a large family!

This will be my 12th year of teaching in the Special Education setting. My first eight years I was the Special Education Department Head and Test Coordinator at Loranger High School. I dual taught at Louisiana Connections Academy, a virtual online school in Louisiana, for four years. After leaving Loranger, I went to Louisiana Connections Academy full time as a Special Education teacher and Test Coordinator of 250 special testing students throughout Louisiana. I returned to Tangipahoa Parish last year to help at the Alternative School as a Special Education teacher 5th-8th grades. I am passionate about kids. It is my mission to instill a love for learning in all my students. When teaching course subjects, I love to make it interactive and build my students to become lifelong learners. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to keep an open communication path between us and I would like to talk to you whenever you feel the need. I look forward to a great year together!
