Gilbert Hartzog, Jr.
Thanks for visiting my school website! It is an honor to be a teacher at Boyet Jr. High School. This is my 25th year as an agriculture educator. The field of agriculture is very diverse including units of instruction in leadership training, personal growth, and career success. Other areas include plant and animal science, carpentry, small engines technology, and forestry to name just a few. Students also have the opporunity to join the National FFA organization as an integral part of the agriculture education program.
I earned my Master of Education (M.Ed) degree in the field of education from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana; and Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in agriculture business from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. I earned my teacher certification through Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge.
I am looking forward to a great school year filled with a vast array of learning opportunities.
