  • I would like to welcome you and your student to Mandeville High Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (MCJROTC). With your help I'm looking forward to playing a part in your son/daughter growth and developement during their high school years. During a very sucessful 33 year military career, I was blessed with the opportunity to mentor and mold young Marines. It was one of the most rewarding part of my career. Along the way it became something I enjoyed so much, I looked for ways to continue doing the same when my military career ended. Given my desire to continue to help mold, mentor, and be a positive role model to the youth of this nation, I decided to become an educator in the form of a MCJROTC instructor.  I have been an MCJROTC instructor for 10 years, 6 of those was spent as the Senior Marine Instructor at Franklinton HighSchool. I then took the challenge to become a Marine Instructor at New Orleans Military and Maritime Academy for 2 years. Although a very rewarding experience, I learned the my true value was to instruct in a traditional MCROTC program. Mandeville High has allowed me that opportunity and to say I'm excited to be here would be an understatement at best. This will be my 3rd year as an instructor here at Mandeville High School, it's been one of the most enjoyable experiences of my teaching career. I look forward to the experiences and challenges to come.  I truely beleive that parental involvement in a students classroom academics and extra curricular activities are equally imporant and I invite parents to be as involed with our MCJROTC program as time will allow. The MCJROTC program is "NOT" a recruiting tool for the military, our only mission  is to help develope respectful and product citizens in our communities, no matter what walk of life they choose to pursue.  During the school year, I will be in contact with you to discuss the progress of our son/daughter.
