I am so excited for the 2018/2019 school year! This will be my third year here at Abney as the School Counselor. It has been so rewarding to be a part of the Abney Learning Community.
I have lived in the Slidell area my whole life. I hold a Master's degree in Counselor Education from Southeastern Louisiana University, and I am a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor. My goal as the School Counselor is to be supportive to all of our students, and help teach them the skills they will need to be successful adults. When explaining my role to students, I often simply say that I help them, in any way I can.
I offer individual and small group counseling, as well as classroom counseling lessons to help ensure the social-emotional, academic and career development of our students.
