Hi! Welcome to the MES counseling page. This is my ninth year as a school counselor and my third year at MES, where I love helping our Minnows build their futures!
I graduated from LSU in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and in 2010 with a Master of Education with a Specialization in School Counseling. I am a certified school counselor, National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC).
At MES, I teach preventive lessons to all K-2 classes. Lessons cover a wide range of topics based on student and school needs and the American School Counselor Association Mindsets and Behaviors for Student Success. I am also available to meet with K-2 students on an individual basis, at the request of the student, teacher, or parent. If counseling is determined to be appropriate, parents must sign a counseling permission form. Additionally, MES has a full-tme Mental Health Provider (MHP) who provides similar individual and small group services.
