Welcome to third grade gifted! It's going to be a great year full of new friends, new adventures, and new discoveries.  I was born and raised in Louisiana and have enjoyed 13 years of teaching in grades K-6. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from SLU and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from UNO. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher with specialization in Early and Middle Childhood Literacy. This year I will be teaching two gifted classes: 3rd grade academic and Kindergarten/1st grade enrichment.

My family means the world to me and I love spending time with them. We moved to Mandeville in 2010 and we couldn't be happier! My hard-working and supportive husband, Chip, and I will celebrate our 16th anniversary this December. We have three beautiful and active children Caroline(12), Meredith(10), and Reid(5) who keep us very busy and always entertained.

    Mrs. Morrison's Educational Philosophy

I am committed to working hard while having FUN!  My expectation is for our class to develop as a community of scholars where students learn from each other and from me - just as I will learn from them. Our instructional time will concentrate on topics that nurture their passion for knowledge and educational advancement. Lessons and activities will be designed to accommodate different learning styles in order to maximize their individual learning potential.
