  • To My 2017-2018 Class Family:  Words can not express how much I am going to miss each and every one of you.  You stole my heart from the very beginning.  We have made so many memories this year that will last a lifetime!  I have loved seeing you each grow in your own little unique way.

We came as strangers and now we leave as FAMILY!  I love you, Cutie Patooties! Have a wonderul summer and don't forget to keep up that reading!!

    Love, Mrs. Stephens :)

The 2018-2019 school year begins on August 9th.  Please check the main page of the school website for the most current information.

Welcome to Mrs. Stephens's 2nd Grade!

Hello, Madisonville Minnows!  I am so excited about the upcoming year and all that it has in store! It’s going to be a year full of learning and lots of fun adventures. Here is a little information about myself:

I am a graduate of LSU and have a master’s degree in Gifted Education. Before moving to Madisonville, I taught 1st grade in Monroe, LA for ten years. This is my third year at MES, and I have LOVED being a part of this wonderful community and the St. Tammany school system.

It is my mission to instill a love of learning in all of my students. I strive to make learning engaging and fun so that my students develop a desire to be lifelong learners. Creating a positive and accepting classroom environment where my students feel safe, loved, and challenged to their individual abilities has always been a top priority. In this classroom, we are a FAMILY!

Please let me know if you ever have any questions or concerns throughout the year. I believe in the importance of keeping communication open between the teacher and parents. I am looking forward to getting to know my new Madisonville Elementary “Class Family” and working together to help make our future leaders the best they can be!

With lots of love and 2nd grade excitement,

    Kerri Stephens
