HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday spent with your loved ones.
Please remember to donate to our food drive this week.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered to bring in an item for our class feast on Thursday, November 16th. We are excited to get together and share what we are thankful for this year. I know I am thankful to teach your children every day.
We are also excited about our field trip to the Audubon Zoo on Friday, November 17th. It will be a great way to spend our last day before the break.
Welcome to T-1!!
My name is Courtney Braud and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher for the 2017-2018 school year at PES! This is my third year teaching at Pontchartrain Elementary School. I taught one year of first grade and now I am currently on my second year of teaching Tranistional-First Grade. A professor once told me that I was born to TEACH. That possibly was one of the best things I could ever be told. I love teaching and I love all my students!!
I attended PES myself when I was in elementary school. This school had me fall in love with learning and I hope to instill that same love of learning to my precious students. I graduated from Louisiana State University in Early Childhood Education with a Bachelor of Science degree. GEAUX TIGERS! I am certified to teach grades pre-kindergarten through third. I love teaching first grade and T-1. I always like to say, "Learning is fun in T-1!"I am dedicated to make every day an enjoyable and meaningful time for your child filled with engaging learning activities. At PES, we strive to have every student not only learn, but learn well in ways that will make them succeed to the best of their ability.
I truly have a passion for making a difference in the lives of young children. I have a commitment to provide proper guidance, love, and education to encourage each child to grow to the best of their ability in the most developmentally appropriate way. Every day, I am eager to be with my students and have fun while learning in a safe and positive environment!
Research shows that a relationship between the parent, the student, and the teacher are crucial for promoting an educational climate conducive to learning. With that in mind, I am looking foward to working with you and your child as we make a difference that will last a lifetime. Please feel free to contact me anytime. I can be reached through a handwritten note, through the school office, or via email at email@example.com.
Let's "rock" this year at PES!!
