Hello and welcome to my classroom. This is my 5th year teaching. This is my third year at Riverside Elementary. I love teaching and I especially love teaching the children at Riverside Elementary.
I strive to encourage students to be responsible, independent thinkers. It is my goal to facilitate learning in the classroom and gradually, as the students become more responsible for themselves, step back and allow the students to lead the way in their learning experiences. We work together, as a class, to create a safe, positive environment where it's ok to make mistakes, and to try new things. I encourage students to work both independently and collaboratively. I also strive to help each student reach their highest potential by differentiating my instruction to meet each individual's need.
I graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. I also attended an alternative teaching certification program through iTeachLouisiana. Later, I earned my Master's degree in Public Administration.
I look forward to teaching your student this school year!
