Hello! Welcome to Mrs. Chausse's class! This year I will be teaching chemistry, gifted chemistry, and gifted physical science. The 2018-2019 school year will be my fifth year here and I absolutely love this school! Before coming to Mandeville High, I taught 6th - 8th grade physical, life, and earth sciences in Jefferson Parish for six years. I am certified to teach chemistry, general science, and middle school science. I usually offer tutoring to my students on Tuesdays after school or by appointment. If a student needs help, do not hesitate to ask questions! As a teacher, I am here to help you learn!
I have a bachelor's from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in psychology, a Master's of Science in geosciences from Mississippi State University, and a Master's of Education in Education Administration from Lamar University.
I am the advisor for Mandeville High School Chapter of the National Honor Society. If you are interested in joining, please see me! Students apply in mid January to the beginning of February during their sophomore year for their junior year. They must have a 3.5 unweighted GPA, be involved on campus, demonstrate community service and leadership, and other characterisitics.
