Caterina M. Braun M. Sci.

Welcome to 8th grade science! This is my 6th year teaching and my fourth year at Pitcher Junior High.  This is going to be a great school year with a lot of exciting topics in science and opportunities to learn and grow.

I was born in Athens, Greece. My undergraduate degree is from Anderson University in Indiana, with major in Biology and with a minor in Chemistry. In addition, I have a Masters of science degree in Biology with an emphasis in Molecular Biology, form Ball State University in Muncie, IN.  I have worked as a scientist in Biomedical research in various academic and biotech industrial settings for over 10 years.

I received my Alternate Teaching Certificate from the Louisiana Resource Center for Educators. My teacher certification is in Biology, Chemistry and General Science (6-12).

I love teaching about the real-world aspect of science.

I am excited to have the opportunity to work with a great group of students! Go Panthers!
