Mr. Giraud
  • Mr. John Giraud, M.F.A.

Hello. I started teaching Talented Music at Slidell High in the 2013-14 school year. I look forward to working with each of your awesome kids! We will have many performing opportunities this year, and I look forward to seeing you all at the concerts.

I received my first degree in music from UNO in 1995. I finished a Master's degree in Fine Arts from Tulane University in 1999.

Talented Music teaches music theory, history, and solo performing skills to both instrumentalists and singers, as well. While my major instruments are piano and voice, I have also worked with theater orchestras and small combos for the last 16 years. If you have been to a musical at Slidell High, I am the teacher in the orchestra pit at the piano. I love to accompany student performers for their recital pieces. It is my favorite part of teaching music.
