Hello and welcome to my classroom! This is my sixteenth year teaching, and my third year at Slidell High School. I come from a long line of educators, and teaching is truly my passion.
I received my Master's degree in Significant Disabilities in 2014, from the University of New Orleans. Working with and teaching individuals with disabilities has always been a part of my life. I remember back to when I was twelve years old helping my mom and aunt, both retired Adapted P.E. teachers, work with their students. I started volunteering with the Louisiana State Special Olympics later that year, and eventually went on to coach athletes for several years prior to Hurricane Katrina.
Although I have worked with students of all ages, I thoroughly enjoy working with students at the high school level. It gives me the opportunity to let them spread their wings and become more independent as they prepare for life after school.
I am looking forward to the upcoming school year and watching my students thrive!
