I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2011 with a B.A. in Spanish and a minor in Hispanic Ethnic Studies. I also studied at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia in Valencia, Spain.
As a foreign language educator, I am motivated to teach because I enjoy sharing my cultural and linguistic knowledge with my students, and instilling this knowledge. I want to inspire them to be enthusiastic about Spanish and have a passion to learn a foreign language.
My goal is that as my students begin their language learning process, they acquire new perspectives on themselves and their societies, have a greater awareness of their own native language, explore other cultural groups in the world and learn to appreciate them, and lastly, develop a means of communication with those who speak Spanish.
I am looking forward to having all of you in my class this year!
