Jill Kissick-Castro was born and raised in upstate New York. She attended the State University of New York at Geneseo where she obtained a Bachelor's of Arts degree in English with a certification in secondary education. Later, she attended Temple University and earned a Master's of Arts degree in African American Studies. She has been teaching for sixteen years, four of which have been at Mandeville Junior High.
Ms. Castro's philosiphy is that every student can learn. Each student will be supported through in-class activities designed to address many learning styles, and individualized instruction can be easily accessed.
