All About the Teacher
First and foremost, I would like to tell you about myself. My name is Margaret Goubler. I grew up in Slidell, Louisiana. My father recently retired from a long and rewarding career in secondary education; he taught for 33 years. I spent my childhood in his classroom, and I am so fortunate and blessed to be spending my adulthood in a classroom, as well. On May 14, 2011, I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I am currently working on my Special Education Degree at Southeastern, and should be finishing up next May!! I was married in October of 2014, and my husband and I do not have any children of our own yet (I am working on him!)
Moreover, I will be entering my 7th year of teaching in the upcoming school year. I taught 1st grade for four wonderful years, but I knew I wanted to do something a little different. My last year of teaching 1st grade, I had an inclusion classroom. I instantly fell in love with my special education students, and I knew that special education is where I was supposed to be. I then transitioned into special education. I have been a M.A.E. special education teacher at Pontrchartrain Elementary School for the past two years. I have been working with students that have behavioral and emotional disorders/disturbances, and I could not be happier with the experience I have gained over the past two years. I look forward to many more wonderful years in elementary special education.
I look forward to working with you are your child again this year, and I am looking fowawrd to the new students I will receive this year! Please feel free to contact me anytime via email, throught this web page, or school phone number.
