Greetings parents and welcome to my classroom. My name is Lori Blanks
and this is my 20th year teaching. This is my 4th year at Woodlake
Elementary School. I am thrilled to start this new school year
with your children who are all so eager to learn with great
experiences ahead of us all.
My professional degrees include a bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology &
Audiology from Xavier University of Louisiana, a master's degree in
Special Education with a concentration in Deaf Education from the University
of New Orleans & Georgia State University, and a specialist degree
in Early Childhood Education from Southeastern University of Louisiana.
Although a parent's role in their children's learning evolves as kids grow,
one thing remains constant: we are our children's learning models. Our
attitudes about education can inspire theirs and show them
how to take charge of their educational journey.
Visit pbs.org to learn more about how you can be an active participant
in your child's education. Together we can reach one child at a time.
The 2017-2018 school year is going to be awesome!!!
