    Book fair-October 15-19

    October 22-26-Red Ribbon week.

Parents, This week we will begin Reading interventions to help students to be on their grade level or hgher. We will do interventions for the first 30 minutes of ELA/Math. This will help tremendously with testing. Please discuss with your child the importance of doing their best. We are a team in this whole process. I want your child to be successful, just as you do. Thank you for all that you do to help your child to succeed.

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!  My name is Susan Denniss. I am your child's 5th grade teacher. I will be teaching your child ELA and Social Studies. Ms. Bellas is my partner teacher. She will teach your child math, science, and social studies(the students who are in her homeroom class). I am thrilled to have your child in my class and look forward to helping them to grow both academically and socially. This year our school wide theme is "Extreme Makeover Pine View Edition."  We have lots of new faces while continuing our same commitment of excellence.

Please check your child's yellow take home folder and agenda nightly. I will send home weekly test papers and any important information that you need to read. I also tell students to put their homework into this folder so they don't lose it. When test papers come home every other week, sometimes weekly. Return all D or F papers signed. . Please email me if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to working together to help your child have a fabulous 5th grade year!!
