Sarah Meyer, M. Ed.
Welcome! This is my 26th year of teaching, and I absolutely love my work! I received my bachelor's degree from Our Lady of Holy Cross College in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1993, and my master's degree in gifted education from Northwestern State University in 2008. I am certified in 1st-8th grades regular education and in gifted education as well. I am highly qualified in middle school ELA. I taught 5th grade ELA and Social Studies for 12 years and 5th-8th grade gifted ELA for 5 years. This is my 9th year teaching in St. Tammany Parish, and I've taught 5th-6th grades gifted ELA, math, and science.
I am the proud mother of two adult children and grandmother of three beautiful girls, ages 21, 14, and 11. We also welcomed our first great-grandchild in April---Hudson Grey, and we're also excitedly expecting our first grandson in October. My greatest joy is spending time with my family! I also enjoy reading and gardening and introducing FUN, educational projects to my class. I am very excited to be a member of Lancaster Elementary's faculty, and I am looking forward to my teaching and learning adventure with each of you this year!
