"Each child is an individual. All children are creative. And all children need to succeed."
My name is Johnni Dycus and I was born and raised in Slidell, La. I graduated from Salmen High School in 2006. I continued my higher education at Southeastern Louisiana University where I graduated in the fall of 2010 with a Bacheloes of Science in middle school math and science education. Once I began teaching, I also recieved my certification in all subject areas in elementary education. I began my teaching career at Abney in the fall of 2011 and have taught here ever since. I have taught 4th grade, 5th grade, and 2nd grade. In May 2016 I graduated with my masters degree in literacy education from Southeastern Louisiana University. I am the mommy to a handsome and very active 7 year old, Jaxson. He is in 2nd grade. We have 2 dogs, Bama and Charlee, who help to complete our family. My passion is teaching science and math, and I am looking forward to sharing my love for both subjects with my 4th graders this year.
