I began teaching math at Alexandria Junior High School in 1990.  I then moved to St. Bernard Parish and taught math from 1990-1997 at N. P. Trist Middle School and Andrew Jackson Fundamental Magnet High School.  I was promoted to assistant principal in 1997 and he served in that capacity from 1997 until 2005 at P. G. T. Beauregard Middle School, St. Bernard High School, and Andrew Jackson Fundamental Magnet High School.  I left the education setting after Hurricane Katrina heavily damaged the metro New Orleans area.  After living in Maryland for two years, I returned to teaching math in 2008 at Nunez Community College and at Pearl River High School.  I am in my 10th year teaching in St. Tammany Parish, all of which are at Pearl River High School.

I have been married to Sheri Duplessis Jones for 28 years.  I have a son, Ryan, and a daughter, Allyson.
