I am currently in my 27th year of teaching. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Math Education from Louisiana College in Pineville, LA in 1989. I went on to earn a Master of Education degree in Educational Administration from Our Lady of Holy Cross College in 1996. I am certified in mathematics, administration, gifted education, and supervision of student teachers.
I began teaching math at Alexandria Junior High School in 1990. I then moved to St. Bernard Parish and taught math from 1990-1997 at N. P. Trist Middle School and Andrew Jackson Fundamental Magnet High School. I was promoted to assistant principal in 1997 and served in that capacity from 1997 until 2005 at P. G. T. Beauregard Middle School, St. Bernard High School, and Andrew Jackson Fundamental Magnet High School. I left the education setting after Hurricane Katrina. After living in Maryland for two years, I returned to teaching math in 2008 at Nunez Community College and at Pearl River High School. I am in my 11th year teaching in St. Tammany Parish. This is my first year at Northshore High.
I have been married to Sheri Duplessis Jones for 29 years. I have a son, Ryan, and a daughter, Allyson.
