Hello and welcome to my classroom! This is my 10th year teaching, and all of those years have been at Bonne Ecole. I had the privilege of attending Bonne Ecole, and I love that I am back here teaching! I absolutely love teaching gifted students and getting to encourage them to think outside of the box and learn to their fullest potential.
I graduated from Southeastern University in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Then in 2010, I earned my Master's degree in Gifted Education from Northwestern University. I have been fortunate to receive professional development in so many different areas including reading strategies, writing, math workstations, and technology. I enjoy reading, writing, being creative, and spending time with my family.
I am really looking forward to this school year. The students in my classroom will be challenged to dig deeper in their thinking and responses. I know each student is an individual with many different interests and passions, and it is my goal to help them find these and use them. They will be given many opportunities to express themselves through projects, written responses, and group discussions. We will also be focused on our school theme, Character Counts, and using that in our classroom and beyond. My desire is to teach and encourage the whole child and develop them into independent thinkers and learners. It is going to be a great year!
