Physical Science/STAR Teacher
Welcome back to Ms. Radtke's class at Mandeville High School. It has been an outstanding year so far, and I look forward to the rest of the school year. I have been teaching for 20 years, and this is my 10th year at Mandeville High School. I teach Physical Science, as well as the STAR (Students Teaching and Reaching) class for students interested in pusuing a career in education. I graduated from LSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1997 and have been teaching math and science ever since.
Physical science is an introduction to Chemistry and Physics. The first semester we study topics involving the structure and characteristics of matter as well as how matter interacts. During the second semester we switch our focus to the study of forces, motion, and energy. Physical science is the foundation for all other sciences here at MHS.
This website is designed so that students can keep track of upcoming tests and assignments, as well as find out what he or she missed when absent. If you click on the assignments link, you can find a copy of my weekly lesson plans and daily activities. Most items are links that will take you directly to the item. While the website is convenient, there are times when I am a day behind or ahead of schedule.
The only supplies I require are a binder (which may be shared with another class) and a pen or pencil to write with each day. I look forward to working with you this year! Contact me via email if you ever have questions.
