Captain Jimmie D. Jones, USN(Ret)
Captain Jimmie D. Jones, a native of Independence, Missouri received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Central Missouri in May 1992. Upon graduation he reported to Naval Aviation Officer Candidates School in Pensacola, FL for Aviation Officer Candidate School. Following his AOCS graduation, Captain Jones then reported to VT-10 in Pensacola, FL for training as a Naval Flight Officer. Captain Jones affiliated with the Jackson, Mississippi Naval Reserve and served aboard the USS Garcia FF-1040 and NAVAC UK serving as the Weapons Officer and Ship's Boarding Officer. Captain Jones was recalled to active duty for Officer Recruiting duty in Jackson, MS; Huntsville, AL and Jacksonville, FL. From Jacksonville, Captain Jones reported to Detachment ONE in Alameda, CA and served as the Officer Programs Officer and Operations Officer where his command earned the "Detachment of the Year" award for 1999. In February 2000, Captain Jones reported to the Headquarters, Naval Reserve Recruiting Command in New Orleans, Louisiana where he served as the National Director of Enlisted Programs and Operations Officer, resonsible for the day-to-day operations and recruiting efforts of over 850 enlisted and officer recruiters. In 2002, Captain Jones reported to San Diego, California as Commanding Officer - Area PACIFIC, where his command earned the designation as "Detachment of the Year" for 2004. Captain Jones then reported for duty as Commodore, Naval Reserve Region responsible for promoting and increasing sailor and officer retention throughout the ATLANTIC & PACIFIC Fleets. Captain Jones retired from active service in June 2006 from CNRRC in Millington, Tennessee.
Captain Jones lives in Slidell and is married to the former Shelly Gay Kulcke of Monroe, Louisiana and has three children, Anna, Bethany and Mark.
