Welcome! I am excited to have you in my class!
Like you, I grew up in St. Tammany Parish. I graduated from Covington High School and then moved to Baton Rouge to attend LSU. Once I decided that teaching was my life's purpose, I transferred to SLU where I earned my degree in Secondary English Education. I began teaching in Ponchatoula in 2000, but I have been at Covington High since 2008. I love teaching freshmen! One one my greatest joys is watching my students grow over four years and then cross the stage at graduation as capable, confident, compassionate adults.
My husband Cody and I have one precious daughter, Caroline; our other babies are our chocolate labs named Annie and June Bug. When I'm not at CHS, I enjoy gardening, hunting, reading, hiking, kayaking, watching sports, and just being at home with my family.
I look forward to getting to know you and watching you grow!
