  • Welcome to Clearwood Junior High, home of the Cougars. Our goal as a school is to provide a positive learning environment focused on student growth where students, parents, teachers, and the community work together to provide for a successful future.

I am priviledged to be serving this community in my first year as your principal. Most recently, I was the principal at Sixth Ward Elementary school where I was an administrator for 4 years. Prior to becoming an administrator, I was a teacher for twelve years in both St. Tammany Parish and Jefferson Parish. I hold a Master's Degree +30 in Educational Leadership from Southeastern Louisiana University, and I am certified in the following areas: Educational Leadership, Special Education, Educational Technology, Computer Literacy, and Physical Education.

I believe that on-going and open communication between the school and home is essential for academic growth. For this reason, we encourage parents and community members to remain active in their roles to support the education of our students. Additionaly, we welcome your participation in our school activities and events. We maintain a fully transparent open door policy, and I am always here to support each of you as we strive to meet the needs of every child, every day.
