Welcome to Covington High School.
As assistant principal of curriculum and instruction my objective is to help our students realize their academic or career goals. To meet that objetive I create and maintain CHS' academic master schedule, supervise student scheduling, facilitate teacher professional development and ensure our teachers, students and parents stay abreast of curriculum updates and mandates.
I possess a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from Southern University at New Orleans, Master of Arts in Administration from Xavier University of Louisiana and Plus 30 (+30) from the University of Cincinnati.
I began my career with St. Tammany Parish in 2006 as a Social Studies teacher at St. Tammany Jr. High. Several years later I became a Literacy Integration Specialist for Salmen High School before serving as its Ninth Grade Academy Coordinator. Following Salmen, I entered the Parish Wide Assistant Principals’ program and worked at Madisonville Jr. and Boyet Jr. High Schools before joining the Lion family in 2015.
I am honored to be a part of the Covington community. Working with the faculty, staff, students and parents generates a daily source of excitement about the future of our district and parish. I look forward to many productive and empowering years of LION PRIDE!
