  • Welcome to the new school year!  My name is Mrs. Burke, and I am looking forward to working with you and your child.  I graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education.  I also attended Southeastern University with intentions of obtaining my masters degree in gifted education.  I have been teaching for 12 years.  The first six years was at Abney Elementary, teaching gifted education grades 1-5.  The past six years I have been at Riverside Elementary.  I am from the Pearl River community, having graduated from Pearl River High.

My mission statement for this school year is simple:  I want all of my students to feel success, which gives them a sense of accomplishment, thus increasing self-esteem.

    Goals for this year
