Certifications: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Physical Science, Earth/Space Science, General Science, and Social Studies.
Dr. Mark Hazlett (aka "Doc") is a semi-retired college professor with over 35 years of teaching experience. At the university level, he taught statistics - both social and quantum, and numerous other courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has been teaching science and/or social studies and history at the secondary level for the past fifteen years, both at Mandeville High and in the East Baton Rouge school district.
During the 2009-2010 school year, Dr. Hazlett was selected to receive a fellowship from NASA and worked at the Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans. The information and knowledge he gained there was invaluable and is used in class to enhance and expand the subject material.
