I was born and raised in Covington, LA and graduated Covington High School in 2000. Later, I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2005. Immediately after graduation, I became part of “The Best School in the Whole Wide World” teaching 2nd grade. I am blessed to work with such a dedicated administration, faculty, and staff. I have always wanted to be a teacher. I feel like it is the most self-rewarding job anyone can ever have.
In Febuary 2017, I had my first child, Nathaniel!! I am beyond excited to experience the joys of motherhood. Besides planning for the new addition to my family, I also enjoy planning engaging lessons for my students, watching Saints and LSU football, snuggling with my puppy Chloe, and spending time with my family and friends.
My goal as your child's classroom teacher is to encourage a positive learning environment. Students should have a positive attitude about themselves and learning. I also feel that it is very important for children to learn how to work together and respect each other. I look forward to working with you and your child. If you have ANY questions, comments, or concerns PLEASE don’t hesitate to contact me at 892-4311 or firstname.lastname@example.org. I strongly feel that consistent communication is the key to a successful learning experience.
