Jaclyn C.L. Duhé
Welcome to Mandeville High School and to my Chemistry, AP Physics and PLTW: Engineering classes!
I have been teaching at Mandeville High School since 2005. I am certified to teach Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Science as well as the Academically Gifted. I graduated from LSU in 2000 with degress in Biochemistry and Zoology. I obtained my Masters of Science from University of Alabama at Birmingham in Basic Medical Science (concentration in Biochemistry and Structural Biology) in 2003 and my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2005. I was trained as a Project Lead the Way instructor for Introduction to Engineering Design (PLTW 1) in 2013 and for Principles of Engineering (PLTW 2) in 2014.
My mission for every student is to help them develop a greater understanding of the physical world around them, grow in both knowledge of content and ability to perserve through adversity, and to provide them the tools with which they may use to improve the world. I believe that no one ever learns anything without getting it wrong at least once, and that it is through our repeated attempts to get it right that we experience the most growth in ability and understanding. It is my hope that everyone has a wonderful and productive school year!
