    Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! I have been an educator for the past 21 years. I have worked in 4 different school districts, 2 states and 7 elementary and middle schools. I have served as a teacher in grades PreK - 2nd as well as 5th and 6th grades. During my years in the field of education, I have also worked as Pre-school Early Interventionist, a Middle School Interventionist and a Technology Resource Teacher. I have been a member of the Alton community since 2007 and this is my third year as Assistant Principal!

    I am certified and licensed in both Louisiana and Nevada. I am a graduate of Southern University at New Orleans where I earned a BA in Elementary Education, Xavier University of Louisiana where I earned my MA and +30 in Early Childhood Education, in addition, I am a graduate of Arkansas State University where I earned my EdS in Educational Leadership. I am currently working towards my PhD in Educational Leadership.
    I am the mother of two college students and have been married for sixteen years. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, reading, event planning and adding pins to my multiple pinterest boards!
     
    I am an avid learner, passionate about the education of children and committed to the development of global thinkers and productive adults. In my current position, I am committed to the advancement and progression of the students and families of Alton Elementary and its community! I am excited about this school year as our students and teachers have hit the ground running!
