My story begins in Baton Rouge, where I graduated from LSU in 1991.  Over the years, I have taught second grade, third grade, fourth grade, and am presently a fifth grade teacher at Lancaster Elementary School.  Not many people can say that they truly love getting up in the morning and going to work, however, I am lucky enough to feel that each and every morning of the school year.  I truly enjoy what I do, and look forward to helping my students feel the same way.  I have taught in East Baton Rouge Parish, Knox County Schools, in TN, St. Joseph School in Knoxville, TN, and in St. Tammany Parish Schools.  I started my career teaching in Baton Rouge, got married, and moved to Tennessee.  My husband and I have two (almost grown) children, and moved back to Louisiana in 2003 and I began my career with St. Tammany Parish Schools as a LEAP tutor, then was hired as an early intervention specialist.  I missed having my own class, and teaching, so I went back into the classroom as a third grade teacher at Covington Elementary.  I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades in St. Tammany Parish Schools over the past 9 years, with another transfer/move back to Tennessee inbetween those years.  I am so fortunate to have been able to move back to St. Tammany Parish, and am lucky to be a part of the Madisonville school community.  My own children are products of this wonderful school system, and I am proud to be a teacher in St. Tammany Parish.
