• My educational philosophy centers on the belief that all students can learn, and have the right to a high quality education that is specific to their needs and provides a unique, purposeful experience. I consider myself a partner in students' academic journeys. It is my highest priority to promote open communication and trust with parents, teachers and students so that, together, we can develop a plan for students where they feel supported and encouraged to do their personal best.

I graduated from Southeastern University with my Bachelor's degree in elementary education in the Spring of 2004 and began my teaching career, in the fall, as a teacher of gifted students.  After two years in that position, I moved to fourth grade where I taught for ten additional years.  During this time, I continued my educational studies at Southeastern and received my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2010. I currently hold the position of Riverside's TRT.
