• Welcome!!!

I am excited to be your child's teacher this year!

Here's a little about me:  I have been teaching students with disabilities for almost five years. Before that, I was a para-educator for eight years.  I have a Masters of Arts degree in Significant Disabilities from the University of New Orleans and Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from the North Georgia College and State University.  I served eight years in the Army Reserves which helped me pay for school. I met my husband while in training, and we have three wonderful children. My twin daughters are seniors in college. One is studying to be a music teacher and the other is studying mechanical engineering. My son is a sophomore in high school.  In my spare time, I play the trumpet with the Northshore Community Orchestra. My life is busy, full, and rewarding.

This is my first year at Slidell Jr. High. I taught at Clearwood Jr. High before this. Teaching and guiding students with disabilities has been the most rewarding career I could have ever imagined. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free ask me. Together we can move mountains.
