I am honored to be your child's teacher this year!
Welcome back to school. This should be a wonderful school year full of fun and learning. Let me introduce myself; My name is Mrs. Coleman. I have been teaching students with disabilities for five years. I have a Masters of Arts degree in Significant Disabilities from the University of New Orleans and Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from the North Georgia College and State University. I served eight years in the Army Reserves which helped me pay for school. I am a wife and mother of 3 awesome children which I am rediculously proud of. My twin daughters are about to graduate from college. My son is a junior in high school. In my spare time, I play the trumpet with the Northshore Community Orchestra and I am the President of the Slidell High Band Boosters. My life is busy, full, and rewarding.
Teaching and guiding students with disabilities has been the most rewarding career I could have ever imagined. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free ask me. Together we can move mountains.
