Mrs. Jamie Mullet
I am thrilled to be working with first and second graders in Mrs. Cromer's and Mrs. Fontenot's class for the 2017-2018 school year. This is my 19th year teaching and my 4th year as a co-teacher. I've had the pleasure of teaching regular education at Bonne Ecole in first and sixth grade for 5 years until I made the move back to special education 4 years ago. Special education is where my heart is.
I'm originally from a small town in southwest Oklahoma. I attended the University of Oklahoma and received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at the University of Central Oklahoma in 1996. After college, I taught for 5 1/2 years in Arlington and Dallas, TX. In 2008, I received my Master's degree in Special Education from Southeastern Louisiana University.
I have lived in Slidell for 13 years, and have taught at Slidell Junior High as well as BEE. I have an 11 year old girl and a 9 year old boy that attend Bonne Ecole as well. When we are not working or in school, we are often at the soccer field. As a family we enjoy traveling, spending time on the water, or relaxing at home. I'm excited about this new school year and I can't wait to learn all about my students!
