  • Congratulations to the choirs for performing a phenominal Veteran's Day show last Friday!!

    The Christmas Concert is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 13 with two performances and cookie reception in the choir room.

    First performance is at 6:00 and second performance is at 7:00. Please mark your calendars.

    Girls dress attire: Black/White outfit that was worn for Vet. Day unless told could not wear the top had on.

    Optional to wear Christmas outfit instead. Same guidelines. No jeans. Dress pants, dressy top. Dresses no more than 3 inches above knee. School policy for sleeves and modesty. If wearing leggings, top MUST cover EVERYTHING when hands are FULLY extended in the air.

    Guys Black/White outfit or may wear Christmas shirt/sweater.

    More details will be coming home soon and will also be posted on this website.

  • Mrs. McLain is "home grown" from Covington and a proud product of STPSB schools.

    She attended college at Southeastern LA. University where she earned a Bachelor of Music Education K - 12 degree with a major in voice and a minor in piano. She did her student teaching at Mandeville High, Mandeville Elementary and Madisonville Elementary.

    After graduating college, she had a private studio and taught numerous students voice and piano lessons which she continues to do on her free time today.

    Mrs. McLain's teaching experiences include teaching K-8 general music, private piano and voice, as well as, Jr. High and High School Choir for 13 years at Northlake Christian School, Lee Road Jr. High K-8 general music and choir for 3 years, and for the past 9 years teaching general music, piano, and choir at MJH.
