Elizabeth Bonnell- TRT/RHT
I am an avid believer in the Pearl River community schools, having attended Sixth Ward Junior High and Pearl River High. I began my professional career with a Bachelor's degree in K-12 Special Education, a Master's of Education degree in School Counseling and Family Leadership and an Educational Technology certification all from Southeastern Louisiana University. I have been employed in the educational field for 28 years in both Louisiana and California. Of those years, 26.5 have been with the STPSB, 22 of them at Sixth Ward.
In addition to my role as the Technology Resource Teacher, some of my more major roles include School Testing Coordinator, SAT (Student Assistance Team) Coordinator, PBIS Co-Coordinator, and Community Education Director/Liaison.
My role is to assist teachers with educational programming, coordinate community events and use of the school, assist with the identification of students in need and at risk for educational, behavioral and speech concerns, and run effective positive behavioral programs for students at our school. I also am a representative of the school at Special Education meetings (IEP/504), and coordinate District and State Testing in the spring.
If you are in need of assistance, please feel free to email me or call the school.
