I am excited to start another school year! This is my 10th year teaching Transitional First grade at Marigny Elementary. To have a place of growing knowledge and acceptance is what I want for my classroom. I  hope that we will be able to work together towards a successful year. I love teaching and I especially love teaching the children in St. Tammany!

I graduated from Louisiana State University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Grades Education and a certification in Kindergarten. I am currently working on a master's degree in Dyslexia Therapy at William Carey University. I have attended professional development for DIBELS, Kagan Cooperative Learning, Project Read and Every Day Counts Math. In additon to teaching Kindergarten and  T-1, I've also worked with the summer LEAP intervention program. 25 years of teaching have passed so quickly. Time flies when you are having fun!

Teaching has always been a passion for me. I have a love for learning and I hope that my students will learn to love school as much as I do. Thank you for sharing your child with me. I look forward to a great year!
