Hello and welcome to Lancaster's Library!  This is my twenty-first year of teaching.  I have been the librarian at Lancaster Elementary for the past six years. Before becoming the school's librarian, I taught fourth grade at Madisonville Junior High for fourteen years.  I also had the opportunity to teach language arts at the junior high level in Bogalusa, Louisiana.  Many years ago I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with my teaching degree.  Later, I returned to Southeastern and received a master's degree in elementary curriculum and instruction.  I then returned to school once more and earned my school librarian certification from The University of New Orleans.  Currently, I enjoy attending continuing education classes on the latest curriculum updates and workshops about what's new in the world of children's literature.

I am a lifelong resident of St. Tammany Parish.  I am married and have two sons. I enjoy swimming and biking, but most of all going on family vacations!

I look forward to another wonderful year in the library.  We are going to explore new places through books.  Get ready to Unlock the Mystery of Learning!  Read On!
