Mr. Bennett
  •     Hello, my name is Mr. Bennett and I am the principal at Clearwood Jr. High School. This is my 28th year as principal at this great school! I still enjoy coming to work and spending the day with so many wonderful students and faculty members!

I graduated from Amite high school in 1965 and decided to go to college at Southeasten University in Hammond. I was a trumpet player, and music was my passion, so it was easy to choose a major.  In 1969, I graduated with a degree in music, and my teaching career began. In 1970, I was hired to be the band teacher at Salmen High School. From there, in 1982, I became the Assisstant Principal at Clearwood Jr. High.  In 1989, I was appointed principal, and decided Clearwood was my home!

I enjoy working here at Clearwood with a great faculty, wonderful students, and supportive parents. This career is very rewarding and  has been a true blessing.
