Mrs. Dinah Corkern   

 Hello and welcome to my classroom at  Fifth Ward Junior High School.  This is my 27th year of teaching and my 22nd year at Fifth Ward Junior HIgh.  I have been very fortunate to teach lower elementary Mild/Moderate Special Education since arriving at Fifth Ward.  I love teaching and I especially love seeing the progress my students make each year.

I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1992 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  Later, I earned my Master's degree in Special Education.  I continue to attend professional development opportunities in order to stay up to date with new information.  

I look forward to a wonderful year where my students will be Shooting for the Stars!
