Raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and a graduate of Ursuline Academy, I moved to the Northshore twenty-five years ago. Through the University of Mississippi, I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a secondary certification in education. Additionally, I earned a Master of Arts degree in British and American literature through the University of New Orleans. The Arts, especially literature, continually hold my interest and appreciation for humanity's imagination and insightfulness.

Of my twenty-four years in teaching, this will be my eighteenth year at Covington High School.  Prior, I taught in St. Bernard Parish for six years at the middle school level. Through my experiences, I have taught every grade from 7-12. However, my focus and greatest enjoyment for over a decade have been teaching the upper classmen. Since my start at CHS in the fall of 2000, my experiences have included English Department Head, AP instructor, Media Committee, Academic Clinic, and LATAAP mentor as well as sponsoring Cheerleaders, Flag Team, and National Honor Society.

The variety of roles and responsibilities through the years ever enhances my respect for my colleagues as well as the history of Covington High School. Recently, I bought a house in Madisonville and am enjoying exploring the area with my son and daughter.
