I grew up in Covington, LA. I am a graduate of University of Louisiana-Lafayette with a B.A. in Elementary Education and Southeastern Louisiana University with a master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction in Gifted Education. I have been teaching for the past 25 years, teaching grades 1-5. This will be my 13th year teaching multi-age gifted students. I have taught both the Academic and Enrichment models for the gifted in St. Tammany & this school year I will be at Madisonville Elementary and Lancaster Elementary Schools teaching gifted Enrichment.
I love to learn new things and love to share my knowledge with others. I have trained the new teachers of the gifted in this parish for the past several summers, have presented to other gifted colleagues at our Summer Institute Conference/Workshops, and have helped worked on writing curriculum and work stations for gifted K - 3 for our district. I also assist with gifted screenings here at MES and other district schools.
